Apple 12.9-inch iPad Pro To Feature Force Touch Compatibility Stylus; Production Expected To Start October.

Time is fast flying, 2015 is almost to its peak and the rocket flying towards the release of the much anticipated iPad pro is almost there. According to KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a great track record for Apple leaks, the device is set to enter production in September-October 2015. And if this comes to pass as rumored, there is real likelihood that this device may hit major shelves by November this year following patterns of Apple device releases.

So What Do We Expect From The iPad Pro?

For the screen size, we should be expecting a 12.9-inch screen but the force touch and Stylus support being the main. It’s expected to feature a 2732 x 2048 resolution display and perhaps the same strong 7000 series Aluminum found in the Apple Watch Sport as well as stereo speakers. Along with the expected iPad Pro, Apple is expected to release an upgraded iPad mini 4 with the same dual-app mode capability as the current iPad Air 2.

Force Touch as we all know is already introduced in the Apple Watch and already in most recent MacBooks. We can all assume that this force touch feature may be something that will be incorporated in upcoming Apple devices. But as a matter of fact, the Force Touch feature may be difficult to implement in larger screened devices and the iPad Pro which will be having a 12.9-inch screen is no exception; the main reason why the Stylus is much more needed for this device.

According to Kuo, this Stylus which he believes will be made by Cheng Uei could also be made compatible with future models of iPad depending on what software it is running.
This is what he said.
With regard to the present technologies, we believe if the Force Touch module for iPad is designed using the same structure that was used in the iPhone, the larger size may result in a poor yield rate. This is why we think a stylus may be necessary to make Force Touch work properly on the 12.9” iPad. We also believe a Force Touch-enabled stylus will enhance productivity as it would offer more precise operation than using only fingers. Technically, we believe the stylus can be made compatible with iPad models other than the 12.9” version, but it depends on the support of software.

So the question is, will Apple be very successful with the Stylus support and Force Touch feature? Well, according to KGI's analysts, there's a high possibility that Apple could sell up to 5.5 million of this device this year and under 1 million accompanying styluses.
