How to download videos from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other video streaming sites onto your iPhone or iPad: 2 best ways

YouTube is great. We can say YouTube is equal to videos with no doubt coz we can find almost anything related to videos ranging from tutorials, product reviews, game plays and so much more right there but YouTube's got a problem. We cannot download videos automatically. Recently, YouTube blocked apps from downloading videos from the site but some apps couldn't be touched. I'll walk you through how to download YouTube videos onto your iPhone safely.

Let's roll»»»

We'll be using  apps named Video Downloader Lite Super - VDownload and Video Downloader - Download & Play Any Video. These apps are already in the store so search for them without omitting the '-'. There are many other apps in the store that can be used to download YouTube videos but I prefer these ones because of their in-built browser and the fact that they also come with a great price tag of FREE. The method for download videos is the same for both apps so I'll be speaking about only one.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD VIDEOS FROM YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, VIMEO AND OTHER VIMEO STREAMING SITES WITH DOWNLOAD LITE SUPER - VDOWNLOAD.

The details I will be giving will be based on YouTube but the same method can be used for Facebook, Twitter and other streaming sites.
  1. Launch the app and enter m.youtube.com (for iphone) or www.youtube.com (for ipad) into the address bar and you will access the YouTube site.

  2. When the site is fully accessed, tap on the magnifying glass on the top right corner and type the title of the video you want to download and  go.
  3. When the search results are displayed, tap on any of the videos displayed (the one you want to download to be precise) and it will automatically start to buffer. If it does not, you can tap on the play button and it will kick start.
  4. When the video starts playing, a save button will automatically bob at the down left corner of the screen in the form of a floppy disk. When the save button is tapped, a pop up screen will appear where you can tap on download for the video to start downloading. You should see a red circle with a '1' inside next to the browser button at the down left corner which when tapped will show the download progress.
  5. You can now watch you video when it's done downloading by tapping the files button next to the downloading button. You can watch the video be simply tapping on the video.
Guess these apps worked really well. Leave a comment or suggestion in the comment box. We'll love to hear from you.
