WINDOWS 10 - Microsoft says it's the last version of Windows. Check out why

It all started on the 20th of November 1985 when Microsoft released the first (totally bug filled) version of Windows (Windows 1.0) . 30 solid years down the line and Windows 10 (a very smooth OS) will be released somewhere in July. We can say this is good news but is any bad news embedded in it?

"Right now we're releasing windows 10, and
because Windows 10  is the last version of
Windows, we're still working on Windows 10"

Microsoft's developer evangelist, Jerry Nixon was not long ago cited by The Verge making this statement at a Microsoft ignite conference. Ouch, too bad. But hey is there any good news embedded in this bad news? Let's find out.

SO WHAT IS THE REASON BEHIND WINDOWS 10 BEING THE LAST VERSION OF WINDOWS AND WHAT DOES THE STATEMENT REALLY MEAN?

The statement above may send chills down the spine of Windows lovers and bring joy to Windows haters, but in reality, it should be the opposite. You are wondering why right? Don't wonder any longer. The truth is that windows will just be changing for the better. Windows 10 will actually be the beginning of a new Revolution. When it is launched in July, Windows 7 and 8 users will be able to start using it through a very simple Windows upgrade online for free.
Windows 7 and 8 users will be able to upgrade online when the OS is launched in July

This simply means that in future, you will no longer need to go and buy a new Windows OS for your computer, surface or tablet. All you will be required to do is simply upgrade online and this simply what Jerry really meant. Even though new names with specific figures will not be released any longer, the subscription model, which will allow Windows 7 and 8 users upgrade  to Windows 10 that is if they do so within the first 12 months, will continue then onwards. As such, Windows will be releasing updates more regularly to make the OS even better. So Windows 10 isn't going to mark the end of the OS. Wheew, sigh of relief.

So in summary, Windows is actually not going to end the OS but is looking forward to make everything online-based so Windows users can get updates more regularly than usual and also make the OS even better.
