Android Secret codes that rock!

Android has gained ground and millions of Android devices are manufactured each year. All these devices have special features that are hidden but today, tipsandgist360 will want to uncover most of them if not all. You may be asking yourself, "what do I need these secret codes for?" But to be honest with you, these codes can become really helpful when setting your phone, checking it's specs, giving it a better performance and even checking if your phone is a cloned one or not since most of the cloned devices don't work with the code.

Now let's check them out»»»

Xperia Z4 released as Z3+

After so many months of waiting for the Xperia Z4, Sony finally revealed it as the Xperia Z3+. Well in my opinion, I think this is a more suitable name for this flagship since it is an upgrade of the Z3. Form the look of things, this phone is very much storm the market like most of the lastest flagships like the LG G4,  iPhone 6, Galaxy S6 and the other flagships. Now let's take a very Summarized look at this flagship.

What it has to offer

The xperia Z3+ which is just 6.9mm thick and 5.2 inches in length is one of the lightest phones available and it also has an display of 1080p IPS. The device also has a main-camera of 20.7-megapixel and a selfie camera of 5-megapixel. This device is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 810 paired with a 3GB RAM which makes it look like it is the device that will be able to run the Android Lollipop 5.0 better. The device has a battery of 2,900mAh but Sony says the device can be used for up to 48 hours with no charge.

This is just a summary of what you should be expecting when the device is finally launched this summer. Check out the spec summary from Sony»»»

3 simple steps to make chrome faster on your android device.

If you've ever used or you're using Chrome, you should have noticed by now how it starts to get very slow with time. Many like Google Chrome because of how it easily synchronises your bookmark and history over from the desktop and how it makes you feel safe because you're more sure that your personal data is not being leaked to someone somewhere. As the the clock goes tick tock, on the contrary, you forget about all the fun you've ever had with it due to how sluggish it becomes and you just feel like switching to another browser. All hope is never lost, it can be fixed. Now let's check out how.

  • Clear cache data: Clearing cache is one tweak that works for every single app and Chrome is no different. Clearing chrome's cached data in your settings will make chrome feel like how it was when you first downloaded it; that smooth and speedy app. Clearing the cache will remove some saved pages, bookmarks and some other junks you will never need. To clear it's cached data, go to Setting>applications(apps)  and then select chrome. In the next screen, tap "clear cache" and when the pop-up appears, tap 'okay'. You can also do same by tapping the chrome menu>settings>privacy>clear browsing data.
  • Save data: Chrome has a feature that allows you to access very huge sized sites at a much lower size. This feature which is under chrome's settings is named, "data saver". What this feature does is that it sends the link you want to access to a third party server which compresses the size and displays it to you in a lower size. This feature does not only help save data but it also helps you speed up your surfing on Chrome as well.  To activate this, go to Chrome's menu>Settings>data saver> and then you switch it on. Check out how to cut down on your data consumptions without downloading a single app
  • Allocate more RAM: Chrome also has some hidden settings which cannot be accessed in the normal settings but can be done by typing special chrome commands in the address bar. These features are called flags. They are there for experimental purposes but you can use them without fear but they may not be there after sometime. To access the flag for allocating more RAM for Chrome, copy and paste "chrome://flags/#max-tiles-for-interest-area" (without the "") into the address bar and tap go. When it is done loading, select "maximum tiles for interest area" then allocate the RAM. Note that it is advisable to allocate 512 only if your RAM is 2gb or above but if less, then allocate 256 or less.
Guess your chrome is faster now. You can contact us by clicking the "contact us"  button on the first navigation bar or just leave your questions, suggestions or comments in the comment box below. Your feedback is really important.

3 very easy Ways to reduce data consumption on android without using any app

Android devices as we all know android devices consume loads of data to the extent service providers have also moved from the days of offering unlimited data to offering a few gigabytes. Now is the time you should reduce your data consumptions but the question is how?

HOW TO REDUCE YOUR DATA CONSUMPTION ON ANDROID

Reducing data consumption is one of the easiest and also one of the best things you can do to help you. Today I will be giving you very easy and summarized step by step approach on how to reduce your data consumption without downloading even a single app.

  • Restrict Background data usage: Some apps just enjoy using background data hence they keep on wasting your data on some things you may never need talk less of want. These apps need to be prevented from doing so ASAP. To prevent this, go to Settings>data usage>tap on the Android menu(for 4.1 and above) >Restrict background data.
  • Find mobile version of websites: When you surf the net on your android, scroll to the bottom of that page and request for the site's mobile version which is much lighter when it comes the data size. This means that instead of 10mb, you get only 5mb size. I've been using this and it has helped me alot especially when I'm not using Wi-Fi.
  • Enable compression in "compression-enabled browsers" :  Opera mini and Google Chrome and some other browsers have features under their settings which help compress the size of Web pages before they are sent to you. What it actually does is that before you access a site, all the data on that site is sent to a third party server for it to be totally compressed before it is sent to you. Google Chrome's is named "data saver" and Opera mini's, "off road mode".

Why 'FREE' apps are more expensive than 'PAID' apps

Ever heard the old adage, "there is no free lunch"? That should give you an idea that free apps are not always really free no matter how free they may seem. You actually pay more than you'd  ever thought. Take your time to read through this post, you will understand better.

You know for a fact that app developers are human and every adult human needs to eat and pay bills. If the developer cannot pay through selling the app's, he need to find an alternative to do so right? These are the ways they do it.

DISADVANTAGES OF USING FREE APPS

  • Killing your battery: Those free apps do run loads of run ads and of course ads need more energy, even more energy than the app itself. These ads need to do extra work in order to access the servers they are loading from. And this numerous connections use the phone's battery power for their junk of a work. Though some apps run ads in a more sensible way, some just go overboard.
  • Really crazy in-app purchases: Yeah for sure you should expect this. The in app purchases even cost more than it'd cost anyone to buy the most expensive app in the playstore. Sometimes it is so crazy to the extent that you could be asked to buy even air (just for laughs tho) but yeah there are purchases as crazy as that. Check out how to make your device super fast
  • Unseen Malware and secret connections: Some of these free but ad free and sometimes even those that do run ads do have have some codes in them that take your info and secret connections that allow the info collected to be sent to people you don't know. And who knows what they'll be doing with such info?
  • Poor device performance: You pay with your device's performance. The app's that run ads need more of your CPU and RAM in order to access the ad servers thus making your device lag so much. This can get you do much frustrated
  • Huge data bills: This is so obvious. It is so true. Free apps that run ads need your data to access their ad sites. No wonder most of them ask for data access before you can uses them. They just waste your data for their thrash and your data bill piles up to 'huge' at the end of the month.
  • See Stealing of attention: Yeah, so you are working with this app that has lots of ads with really nice graphics or a video ad. All of a sudden, you start paying attention to the ads and you forget you actually need to work at that moment and eventually, your productivity decreases.
