- Undeleter Recover Files & Data: This Android app requires root access. undeleter is a great app that does the job but it has a something that i actually hate about it; after retrieving your files, it allows you restore a few and then you are asked to pay to restore the rest. Damn, I honestly don't like apps that behave that way. But aside that issue, this app is great. You can install Dumpster to serve as a recycle bin so you don't easily lose your files anymore.
HOW TO USE UNDELETER FOR DATA RECOVERY
- Install the app from Playstore and when done, open it and let's go.
- On the app's start screen, tap Next for the app to check for root and when done, permit the app to have root access and tap Next again. After that wait for sometime for the app to analyse your device's storage volume.
- When the app is done analyzing the storage volume, You will see Internal Storage. Tap on it to select your type of scan. (Journal scan is for shallow scan while deep scan will enable the app go deeper into your device to recover files. This takes a longer time to complete)
- When the scan is done, select the files you want to restore and tap on the save button at the top right corner.
- iCare recovery: iCare data recovery is a good software for data recovery for Both Windows PC and all Android devices. Unfortunately, the software is available is only available for Windows PC and it can only retrieve files from phones with a removable SD card. Download, install and let's roll. The software is available in three(3) forms; the Home, Technician and Professional for which the home version is free.
HOW TO USE ICARE FOR ANDROID DATA RECOVERY
- First remove your SD card from your device and insert it into an adapter or USB reader and connect it to your PC.
- Launch the app and select the file type you want to restore and click Next.
- Select the media from which you want to recover the files from on the screen that appears and click Next. Now wait for the app to finish the Scan and then expand the folders that will appear after the scan is done to select the files you won't to restore.
- Select the destination where you want to restore them and click Recover .
- Wait for it to finish the recovery and you're done.

It works pretty much better than iCare since you can recover from any android phone just by using a USB cable and it also recovers faster and more accurately. HOW TO USE ANDROID DATA RECOVERY
- Install after download and open after installation. Connect your device via USB cable and allow USB debugging through the onscreen tutorial and also allow USB connection through the onscreen tutorial as well and click Next. This will automatically send you to the next screen.
- Now you can select the type of files you want to recover and when done, click Start. When the software is done scanning, select the files you want to restore and click the Recover button at the bottom right corner and select the destination to which you want to restore the files.
- Wait for some few seconds and your recovery will be done.
Tip: Whenever you lose a file, do not install update or install new apps. This will increase your chance of getting your files back.
